Pain in the neck

But warmth in my heart, and fire in my soul.

Hiatus

Sorry for the hiatus as of late, but life comes into play, as we all know. I have great admiration for power bloggers, like my friend Stephen Haynes (who will be featured in the next Carrie Leigh NUDE magazine for being a such a star blogger), who can write so eloquently about substantial topics nearly every day. I don't have that commitment, nor do I have that much to talk about. So my hat's off to those who can do it.

Anyway, I have a few exciting opportunities coming up this spring (which are still in the works, so I don't want to let the cat out of the bag too soon), but I will let you know about them when the time is right.

But I can say that I will be taking a trip to Allentown, PA in the beginning of February (an early birthday present to myself) to work with the lovely group of friends I have out there, and I expect that we'll create wonderful work, just like we have before.

So, that's about it for now. I just wanted to drop by and give you all a little update.

Oh, oh! Also, if you haven't purchased one already, you should buy the f-eleven book. Remember, all the profits go to a wonderful charity, "Friends Without Borders."

Zealous Hues

Life and being happy is all about perspective.

This is exactly where I am right now.

Resolutions

I vow in 2010 that I will:

  • Stop smoking.
  • Start exercising at least twice a week.
  • Practice yoga at least three times a week.
  • Start meditating.
  • Stop procrastinating as much.
  • Keep lines of communication more open.
  • Be a better friend.
  • Be a better granddaughter.
  • Stop being paralyzed by fear (rehearse the litany against fear).
  • Shoot at least 100 rolls of film and start finding my vision.
  • Conquer the Beast without medication.
  • Stop being so passive and stand up for myself, even when it's hard.
  • Submit my work to jurored shows.
  • Travel to locations I've never been to before.
  • Model at more art schools and co-ops.
  • Appear in more art books and magazines.
  • See my favorite band, Metric, live.

That should do for one year. If I accomplish all these things, I'll be one happy Brooke.
